Aria

“Beautiful.”

The deep rich sound of his voice made me shiver as he looked down at me. It was thick with need and my body was eager to satisfy it. I, too, was starving for what only he could give to me. Every cell screamed his name in the silence, begging him to make love to me. My deprivation for him had gone on for much too long and though I had no idea what would happen after this, all I cared about was now. My senses engaged as I feasted on the sight of him, inhaled the musky smell of his sex, and shivered beneath his touch. The need to hear his voice and taste him were met by his mouth as he groaned against my lips, kissing me long and hard. He scorched my skin with unbridled heat as he played with the tip of my breast and then took it into his mouth. He growled into my flesh as his hips began to move. He sucked, pulling hard on one nipple with his lips as his thumb teased the tip of the other. I closed my eyes, surrendering to the delightful sensations. His hands, his mouth, and his tongue orchestrated my response. Helplessly, I fell victim to his thrusts as they catapulted me higher. His rhythm quickened and intensified as he drove into me. My legs circled him, locking him between my thighs. I was transported to another place. My heart was pounding, my lungs gasping for air as a million stars exploded.

“Declan!”

Consumed, I screamed his name as he pounded into me with a roar of his own. Both of us had reached our end. There was nothing between us and I felt him empty himself inside of me. Our coupling was intoxicating, an addiction that I would never stop craving, even though I had tried to convince myself otherwise. I allowed myself to enjoy the bliss of every touch and caress as he relaxed his movements. I didn’t want this moment to end, didn’t want to lose our connection. I held him to me as his motions slowed against my sensitive flesh. Words were insufficient and unnecessary as I savored the slowing friction. I was no longer the woman he had met on the beach. The road we had traveled had made me strong. His body bent in half. Still inside of me, he pressed his lips against my ear.

“You’re mine, Aria.”

The words were a ragged whisper. The cold ground of indifference that I had been holding onto by sheer will now shattered beneath my true feelings. Weathered and distressed, my heart spoke only the truth; all of me—mind, body, and soul—belonged to Declan.
